Denomination of Origin Almansa was present at Barcelona Wine Week on February 6, 7 and 8 at the Montjuïc fairgrounds in Barcelona.
Barcelona Wine Week is one of the most important wine fairs in Spain, is the meeting point in the sector to project the quality, variety, and uniqueness of the production area. This event is attended by professionals and buyers from strategic wine export markets. Generating opportunities and positioning as a quality brand.
A fair that, in its third edition (2019, 2022 and 2023), D.O. Almansa participated for the first time in a grouped way with the main objective of increasing recognition within the sector, distribution and prescribers that value the brand and improve the global reach, greater visibility and knowledge of the wines and the territory.
This edition has had a great success of participation with more than 800 exhibitors and 70 Denominations of Origin, with a great potential for business opportunities, was attended by more than 20,000 visitors and 600 buyers from 80 countries. In addition, BWW, a cutting-edge fair, is a pioneer in sustainability and zero waste. It is a boost to the competitiveness and innovation of Spanish wine at the international level.
Adolfo Cano, president of D.O. Almansa, highlighted the importance of attending this event again, “which has become one of the reference showcases in Spain to publicize the value of our Garnacha Tintorera and the wines of our D.O. Almansa”. In addition, the highest representative of our D.O. Almansa has also highlighted “continue betting on these actions that represent a great business opportunity for our wineries, which have been able to connect with importers and professionals both nationally and internationally”.
