Denomination of Origin Almansa returns to complete successfully and with a great reception the III Salón de Vinos DO Almansa in Madrid. We return to the capital of Spain, for the third time, to present the quality and personality of our wines to specialized public, end consumers and professionals in the wine sector.
In collaboration with MiVino Magazine, our wines were once again the protagonists in an event that took place last Thursday, April 13 at the Iberostar Las Letras Gran Vía hotel, in the heart of the capital. Adolfo Cano, president of Denomination of Origin Almansa, highlighted with a “very positive assessment the development of this wine show that we hope to repeat in the future”, in what has been one more act with which “we will continue to support all kinds of actions that give promotion and visibility to DO Almansa both in Spain and internationally”. In addition, Adolfo Cano wanted to “thank all the visitors for their support and interest in the wines of our production area”.
Recognition for Mario Bonete, founder of the Almansa DO
The afternoon day began with the support of the event by the City Council of Almansa, which traveled to Madrid. Taking advantage of the launching of the show, our president, Adolfo Cano, proposed to the Almansa consistory the awarding of the title of medal of the city to Mr. Mario Bonete García, founder of Denomination of Origin Almansa and Bodegas Piqueras.
The town council of Almansa, led by Mayor Javier Sánchez Roselló, showed its support for the proposal, and has communicated that it will initiate the relevant administrative proceedings to award the medal of the city of Almansa to Mr. Mario Bonete García. The objective is to recognize his work as a pioneer and precursor of our production area and the launch of its bottling both nationally and internationally.
