The wines of Designation of Origin Almansa have once again won important recognition at the Brussels World Competition, one of the most important wine competitions in the world.
On this occasion, the winning wines have been
- Silver Medal for Castillo de Almansa Reserva 2017, from Bodegas Piqueras.
- Silver Medal for Cueva del Chamán Sauvignon Blanc 2018, from Bodega Santa Cruz de Alpera.
- Gold Medal for 1860 Selección 2016, by Bodegas Cano
These awards in this edition of the competition come again in 2020, after our wines won 10 medals in 2019 in last year’s edition. Adolfo Cano, president of the Almansa Designation of Origin, has highlighted the fact that our Almansa DO will once again be awarded medals in this important competition, which shows that “our wines are surpassed every year, placing themselves on the podium of the most highly regarded and valued wines in the world”.
