Denominación de Origen Almansa could not miss its annual appointment with the Barcelona Wine Week, which is already considered the wine fair of reference in Spain. During the last 3, 4 and 5 February at the Montjuic exhibition centre, our DO Almansa was once again present at the event, which was celebrating its fifth edition, presenting the particularity of its wines made with our Garnacha Tintorera and our production area to the professional public present there.

This being the first action of the year for DO Almansa, this time the participation has been extended with a space of 56 mts² in Hall 8 and has had the participation of 8 wineries under the seal of quality of this Designation of Origin.
Our DO Almansa has been able to make business contacts at national and international level, opening up new business opportunities both in established markets and in new countries where DO Almansa wines can have an important presence, increasing their recognition within the sector.

During the three days of the fair, DO Almansa and its wineries have promoted both traditional elaborations, as well as a wide variety of wines with the new market trends, without doubt this fair has been the best showcase to continue growing.
This edition of 2025 has achieved a record number of visitors, with over 25,700 attendees, filling the two pavilions, 20% of whom came from outside our borders. Therefore, Barcelona Wine Week has been a unique enclave for the promotion of DO Almansa for yet another year, to generate new business opportunities and to finalise agreements with importers and sales representatives.

Barcelona Wine Week brought together a total of 1266 wineries belonging to 81 different appellations from all over Spain, according to data provided by the event organisers, welcoming 1000 major national buyers and more than 770 international buyers from such important markets as Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Japan, Brazil and South Korea.
In addition, Barcelona Wine Week has continued its commitment with conferences, tastings and different experiences with professionals who have shared their knowledge as key platforms for the dissemination of wine culture.

An excellent evaluation of the fair, and we are already looking forward to continuing with future editions.
Adolfo Cano, president of DO Almansa, highlighted the presence at the fair as ‘a great success for all our wineries, with excellent public attendance. Barcelona Wine Week is once again proving to be an excellent fair for showcasing our DO Almansa wines’. Furthermore, Adolfo Cano thanked the Albacete Provincial Council for the ‘financial support’ given to DO Almansa to be present at this fifth edition of the fair, where ‘we have once again demonstrated the enormous potential for international growth that our wines can have’.
