Almansa Denomination of Origin has carried out an intense promotional program for its wines during the beginning of autumn. The International Cheese Fair in Albacete and a tasting held at the Aniceto Coloma Innovation Center in Almansa were the most important events of this month in which the wines of our land were the protagonists, in addition to the toast with which DO Almansa joined the DO Wine Movement Day in Spain.
First, a wine tasting was held together with other appellations of origin at the Aniceto Coloma Business Innovation and Training Center in Almansa. The event was organized by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development through the “Tierra de Viñedos” foundation and the Spanish Wine Interprofessional Organization Mejor con Vino. The tastings of all the wines that took part were conducted by oenologists belonging to the Official Association of Oenology of Castilla La Mancha.
On the other hand, we had our own stand at the FIQAB (International Cheese Fair in Albacete) to give information about our wines and to carry out a tasting of them with those attending the stand.
In addition, we also presented, together with the City Council of Almansa, the training sessions “WINE & MARKETING”, the new itinerary of the Consolida Almansa program. This itinerary is aimed at both companies in the wine sector and anyone who is interested. The training will take place in several days in person and online. Regarding the Almansa Wine Route project, so important for our DO Almansa, last Monday 10th, both the Board of Directors and the companies associated to the project held yesterday the First Technical Assistance Day. Among the points to be reviewed by all the members of the project, we attended the presentation of the first part of the new Almansa Wine Route website, along with the new logo that will give image to the project.
One more year, we toast to the DO Wine Movement.
Denominación de Origen Almansa once again joined the DO Wine Movement Day, which took place on October 22 and was celebrated jointly in 36 different appellations of origin throughout Spain. DO Almansa celebrated it in a special way this 2022 by raising the wine glasses in the coexistence of the Junta Festera de Calles de Almansa, which made it by far one of the most crowded points of the DO Wine Movement in Spain during last Saturday, October 22.
Movimiento Vino DO arises in 2016, and this would be its seventh edition and the first after the pandemic, and at the same time the largest that has been held so far. From DO Almansa we managed to make it one of the most multitudinous events that celebrated this collective toast in emblematic places of their respective territories to bring the D.O. concept closer to the consumer, highlight the values behind the wine with denomination of origin and disseminate why the DDOOs are considered tools for sustainability in their territories.
