DO Almansa continues its strong promotional efforts for its wines, this time through major events held during the first days of May in Castilla-La Mancha. These included participation in FENAVIN in Ciudad Real, as well as presence at Expovicaman—with two different wine tastings—and the toast celebrating DO Wine Movement Day, both in Albacete.”

New edition of FENAVIN
FENAVIN, the national wine fair held annually in Ciudad Real, featured the presence of wines from Do Almansa on May 6th, 7th, and 8th. Our wines were showcased at the stand provided by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, which was once again the chosen space to present our wines to industry professionals from all over Spain.

Expovicaman, a Must-Attend Event for DO Almansa
On Saturday, May 10th, and for the third consecutive year, the DO Almansa took part in Expovicaman, the agricultural and livestock fair of Castilla-La Mancha, held at the Albacete Fairgrounds. At the stand provided by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, our manager, Rosana Trujillo, led a DO Almansa wine tasting, where attendees had the opportunity to sample and learn about the unique characteristics of our wines—especially those made with the native Garnacha Tintorera grape variety.

Toast for the DO Wine Movement
That same Saturday at 1:30 p.m., we joined the collective toast for the DO Wine Movement—an initiative promoted by the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV), aimed at highlighting the value of Designations of Origin in rural development and social cohesion across the country. This simultaneous toast took place in 32 Designations of Origin throughout Spain, celebrating the importance of DO wine in our communities.
The DO Wine Movement Day was once again celebrated with a dual purpose: to bring DO wine closer to the public as one of the most recognized and authentic products of our country and its regions, and to emphasize that wine Designations of Origin play a significant role in the present and future of our rural areas. This year, all activities were held under the slogan “Designations of Origin drive our towns. Let’s toast to their future!”, encouraging a unified message on social media using the hashtag #VINODOdinamismorural.

Wine Presentation at the Albacete Provincial Council Stand
In the afternoon, to wrap up a week of intense promotional activity, we once again presented our wines at Expovicaman—this time at the stand provided by the Albacete Provincial Council. This event allowed attendees to discover the diversity and richness of the wines from our region. These initiatives are part of our ongoing effort to promote DO Almansa wines and strengthen their presence both nationally and internationally.
