Denominación de Origen Almansa has completed a Reverse Action with importers from Brazil and Mexico between June 9 and 13, 2025. During the five days of promotional activities that have been carried out between the municipalities that make up DO Almansa, importers have been able to visit our production area, wines and wineries in order to close new international trade agreements.


On the afternoon of Monday, June 9, importers were received at the headquarters of Denominación de Origen in Almansa, in the chapel of San Blas. The event, which was inaugurated by Adolfo Cano, president of DO Almansa, was also attended by authorities from the Almansa Town Hall. Afterwards, the importers were able to taste our wines, paired with a menu prepared by the great team of professionals of Restaurante Casa Jaime, in an evening enlivened by Coros y Danzas Castillo de Almansa.

On the second day, at the Blu Hotel in Almansa, one of the key moments of this Reverse Action was organized. Early in the morning, it started with a day in which several of the DO Almansa wineries were able to present privately and individually to Brazilian and Mexican importers the best selection of their wines: and always with our Garnacha Tintorera as the protagonist!



Afterwards, a lunch was held between importers and representatives of the wineries and DO Almansa. Once again, a selection of our best gastronomy and wines was tasted. In the afternoon, we visited one of the emblematic places of the city: the Castle of Almansa, as well as a route through the historical case commented by the local historian Herminio Gómez. To bid farewell to this full day, a wine and food pairing dinner was held at Rincón de Pedro.


Visits to all the DO Almansa wineries
On Wednesday and Thursday, June 11 and 12, the importers visited the different DO Almansa wineries that participated in this Reverse Action. In this way, they were able to see the wineries’ facilities, as well as the production and winemaking area. And, of course, they were able to know some of the most representative gastronomic dishes of the region, such as the traditional gazpachos manchegos.



Adolfo Cano, president of DO Almansa, has highlighted the importance of relaunching this important promotional activity called “Reverse Action”, which we successfully carried out also in summer 2022 with British and Swiss importers, and previously in 2019 with German and Russian importers.
