DO Almansa increased the total market value of its wines by 1.25% in 2024

Once again, the international market remains the main driver of our wine sales, with around 70% of total commercialization going abroad, compared to 30% sold within Spain. Overall, international sales surpassed €9.4 million, while domestic sales totaled €3.5 million.

Canada, Germany, and Finland lead global exports

In 2024, DO Almansa wines had a notable presence in key strategic markets, maintaining a strong foothold in Europe, Asia, and North America. The top five countries by total export value were:

Canada – €2.6 million

Germany – €1.01 million

Finland – €709,000

Netherlands – €395,000

United States – €392,000

These markets continue to show growing trust in DO Almansa wines, recognizing their authenticity, winemaking quality, and ability to adapt to international trends. A noteworthy factor is the added value provided by our wines’ organic certifications, which contribute significantly to sales and consolidation in European markets like Germany.

Over 30% increase in the average value of our wine

Altogether, DO Almansa once again surpassed a total economic value of €13 million in 2024, with particular emphasis on the increase in value per hectoliter of DO Almansa wine — rising by more than 30% compared to 2023. This growth reflects not only a better perception of the value of our wines but also a positive shift toward more demanding and higher-value markets such as Europe and North America, where DO Almansa has long been well-established.

Positive outlook for 2025

Adolfo Cano, president of DO Almansa, emphasized the importance of these results, which maintain the upward trend of recent years, “especially at the international level. Despite facing instability and a slowdown in some markets like China, the United States and Europe have strongly driven exports and have shown more support than ever for wines bearing the DO Almansa quality seal. We hope to maintain these positive prospects in 2025 despite potential instability in the North American market.”
