The participation of the Almansa Designation of Origin has taken place (as in previous years) within the framework of the European Sustainable European Food & Wine project, in collaboration with the Jumilla and Vinos de La Mancha designations of origin and the Potravinárska Komora Slovenska (Slovakia). This joint initiative seeks to promote sustainable European products, reinforcing the image of origin and quality of wines with Designation of Origin.

At Anuga, DO Almansa was present at the renowned ‘Wine Tunnel’, where tastings of a wide selection of wines from the wineries belonging to the appellation were offered. Attendees were able to experience first-hand the uniqueness of Garnacha Tintorera, the region’s flagship variety, and appreciate the diversity and authenticity that characterises Almansa wines. Gira Vinum Munich: professional tasting and closing of European programme activities

Following on from the event in Cologne, DO Almansa took part in Gira Vinum Munich on 10 November, a prestigious professional seminar that brought together sommeliers, specialist press and importers from the German market in the city of Munich.

During this event, a tasting of three wines (a white, a red and a rosé) representative of our Designation of Origin was held in a seminar led by the editor-in-chief of Vinum Munich: Harald Scholl. Attendees were offered a sensory experience focused on the character of the grapes that define our wines, such as Garnacha Tintorera, Syrah and Verdejo, and how the balance between tradition and sustainability that defines our wines is achieved. At this event, DO Almansa was accompanied by DOP Jumilla and La Mancha wines.

The presence at Gira Vinum Munich marked the conclusion of the activities of the European Sustainable European Food & Wine programme for 2025, reaffirming the Almansa Designation of Origin’s commitment to international promotion, sustainability and cooperation between European wine-producing regions.

Commitment to the international promotion of our wines

Participation in Anuga 2025 and Gira Vinum Munich reflects the Almansa Designation of Origin’s solid and ongoing strategy to strengthen its presence in international markets, especially in Germany, one of the key destinations for the export of its wines.
