Denomination of Origin Almansa once again began the month of February with its presence at Barcelona Wine Week, Spain’s leading national wine fair, held on 2, 3 and 4 February at the Montjuïc exhibition venue in Barcelona.
In this edition, DO Almansa was once again located in Hall 8, where it was represented by nine wineries, one more than in the 2025 edition. Throughout the event, DO Almansa held meetings with professionals from the sector, established new contacts and strengthened existing commercial relationships.
Once again, Garnacha Tintorera, the hallmark variety of the Denomination of Origin Almansa, was one of the main points of interest for visitors, alongside other wines that reflect the diversity and evolution of the production area.

In its 6th edition, Barcelona Wine Week brought together more than 1,350 wineries from 90 Denominations of Origin, with a total attendance of 25,953 visitors and a 25% increase in international buyers compared to the previous edition. Catalonia was the region with the greatest representation at the fair, followed by Castile and León, La Rioja and Castile-La Mancha.
In addition to the exhibition area, visitors were also able to enjoy more than 80 activities and the participation of 136 national and international experts.

Adolfo Cano, President of the Denomination of Origin Almansa, has given a very positive assessment of the participation in this latest edition of Barcelona Wine Week, highlighting the importance of continuing to be present at this type of benchmark event for the wine sector.
Such meetings help to strengthen the visibility of the denomination and to further position its wines at both national and international level. In this edition of Barcelona Wine Week, DO Almansa also benefited from the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Albacete.
Following the conclusion of the fair, DO Almansa is already looking ahead to the next edition, with the aim of expanding its exhibition space and presence at a key event for the promotion and international projection of its wines.
