Adolfo Cano has once again been re-elected as president of our DO Almansa for another four years, until 2029. On Thursday, June 26, the Board of Directors of the DO Almansa and representatives from all the wineries met in Almansa to assess the promotional activities initiated in 2025 and to plan how the second half of the year will be organized.
The most important point of the meeting was the renewal of the DO Almansa leadership, where Adolfo Cano, president since 2017, was re-elected along with the outgoing Board of Directors, who will also continue working for the next four years. In this way, Adolfo Cano begins his third term as president, with the goal of continuing to advance the DO Almansa from 2025 to 2029.
Alongside Adolfo Cano’s re-election, Guillermo Milán has been confirmed for another term as vice president of DO Almansa, and Rafael Lázaro will continue as secretary. Additionally, the leadership team is completed with Juan Pablo Bonete Piqueras as treasurer and Carlos Gramage as board member. Thus, the Board of Directors for the next four years is officially approved, and they will work together to promote the DO Almansa.

New Promotional Challenges for Our Wines Until 2029
Adolfo Cano reflected on the last four years at the head of DO Almansa, during which “we achieved the goals we set in 2021, during a very difficult period caused by the pandemic. Despite the challenges, we managed to recover and add even more value to our wines, significantly increasing both their value and quality over the past four years.” In addition, he emphasized the collaboration with the Almansa Wine Route, “allowing the route and DO Almansa wines to continue to be promoted as a great economic and tourist asset for our region.”
Finally, Adolfo Cano summarized the main objectives for 2029: “for DO Almansa to continue this growth trend in bottled production and commercialization, focusing on promotional activities both in Spain and around the world.”
