DO Almansa reaches the end of 2025 on a positive note after twelve months of intense promotional activity both inside and outside Spain. Leading trade fairs, commercial initiatives, meetings with international professionals, campaigns in Europe, and wine tourism events have been the main pillars of a year that has once again reinforced the identity, quality, and profile of DO Almansa wines.
Presence at important national and regional events
DO Almansa was once again present at Barcelona Wine Week, one of Spain’s leading wine events. In this way, and together with other events that took place in Castilla-La Mancha, such as Expovicaman, participation in the promotional activities of the Fundación Tierra de Viñedos, and attendance at the CECRV General Assembly in November, the image of DO Almansa in Spain continues to be consolidated in 2025.
Strengthening our presence in Germany and opening up new international markets
As for the international presence of our DO Almansa in 2025, we have continued to work on promoting our wines globally in Europe, a market of great importance for our wines. To this end, we have committed to several promotional activities in Germany, where we returned to Prowein at the beginning of the year. In the fall, two new promotional campaigns were completed at Anuga 2025 and VINUM WINE TOUR 2025 in Munich.
Brazil and Mexico: a strategic bridge to Latin America
In addition, a reverse action was carried out with the participation of importers, distributors, and influencers from Brazil and Mexico in the DO Almansa, thus addressing two strategic markets that are expanding for Spanish wines. The president of the DO, Adolfo Cano, re-elected in 2025 to continue in office until 2029, highlights the excellent moment DO Almansa is experiencing: “2025 has been an enriching year for our wines. We have intensified our presence at top-level trade fairs, expanded our international reach in strategic markets, and strengthened relationships with our target audience.”
Adolfo Cano also emphasized that “I am convinced that, thanks to the joint efforts of wineries, winegrowers, and technical staff, we will continue to position DO Almansa where it deserves to be.”
Looking ahead to 2026: new challenges and opportunities
DO Almansa begins 2026 with a reinforced roadmap, marked by new international trade fairs, programs to promote our wines abroad, wine tourism activities, and a solid commitment to quality and the identity of the region. This commitment was formalized at the DO Almansa Annual General Assembly held at the end of this year, where the course of action for 2026 was outlined, with significant promotional activities planned at the national and international levels. The goal will be to continue consolidating its presence, strengthening and adding value to the positioning of wines with our DO Almansa seal of quality.
