DO Almansa closes the year with new promotional activities in Castilla-La Mancha and attendance at the CECRV General Assembly

The Almansa Designation of Origin concludes the year by reinforcing its commitment to promoting our wines and its institutional presence at important events that have taken place in recent weeks. DO Almansa has participated in four key events with the aim of continuing to consolidate our visibility at the provincial, regional and national levels.

Participation in the 36th General Assembly of CECRV

On Friday, 21 November, our president, Adolfo Cano, represented the Almansa Designation of Origin at the 36th General Assembly of the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV), held in Logroño and coinciding with the centenary of the D.O.Ca. Rioja.

More than 50 designations of origin from all over Spain participated in this strategic meeting to analyse the challenges facing a sector marked by market uncertainty and, at the same time, to highlight the strength, stability and territorial roots offered by designations of origin. It was a day on which DO Almansa reaffirmed its commitment to joint working, inter-territorial collaboration and a shared vision for the future of Spanish wine.

Promotional activities in Albacete and Cuenca

For the fourth consecutive year in Albacete, DO Almansa once again participated in the training activities promoted by the Tierra de Viñedos Foundation at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM).

The event was attended by over a hundred people and was led by oenologist Pedro Sarrión, who conducted the tasting, highlighting the identity, unique character and quality of the wines covered by our Designation of Origin. This is now an established event that reinforces the educational and promotional work carried out to raise awareness of wine culture among young people and university students.

In addition, DO Almansa also promoted its wines at the José Luis Perales Municipal Auditorium Theatre, at the Raíz Culinaria gastronomic event during the VII Culinary Congress, where products from Castilla La Mancha were presented and promoted. On this occasion, we participated by presenting the essence of our wines, accompanying the best chefs and professionals in the sector at this forum that celebrates the tradition, innovation and origins of Castilian-Manchegan gastronomy.

Presence at the Second Rural Women’s Meeting in Bonete

DO Almansa was also present at the Second Rural Women’s Meeting: Weaving Equality, held in Bonete (Albacete), where our wines and the Almansa Wine Route were presented by Rosana Trujillo.

The event, organised by CEDER Monte Ibérico–Corredor de Almansa and other regional entities, brought together women from rural areas for a day marked by emotion, reflection and the defence of equal opportunities in the region. Our wines accompanied this space for dialogue and recognition, reaffirming the DO Almansa’s support for projects that promote social cohesion and rural development.

With these actions, the Almansa Designation of Origin puts the finishing touch to the year by strengthening its institutional presence at events, closing a year in which we have had significant promotional activity at national and international level.
